Back Amongst The Living

After 21 hours of laying in bed . . . I'M BACK!!!

No, it was not a glorious 21 hours of blissful rest and relaxation, but a wretched 21 hours of wallowing in pain.

Thanks to my fantastic husband Nathan and my thoughtful roomie -V- . . .

I am back amongst the living!!!

Whew

The baby shower was great, only one minor set back and even that one eventually fixed it's self. So no complaints. It truly was awesome getting to work alongside JMe on this PaR-tA. Down side to the shower, I didn't get to take home any meatballs! What a crock :0)
I went out for a bachelorette party ONLY because they needed the "token Christan" there so everybody wouldn't get wasted. I really didn't want to go but I was roped in so I went. Got started later than usual and next thing I know my aunt and I were the only one's not drunk! GGGRRRRR even the pregnant chick was drinking! WHO DOES THAT?????? So I rained on every one's parade and refused to be nice. (I KNOW I KNOW not the best approach, I should show love blah blah blah) I had very few hours of sleep the night before and was wanting to go HOME to my husband, my bed, sleep, so I could get up and go to church on Sunday. Instead of getting home around 11 like anticipated I got home around 3 A.M. Grumpy you ask????? That is putting it mildly. I really needed to go to the alter and beg forgiveness and ask God to renew his spirit in me. I said some pretty hateful stuff that night, I started out being uncomfortable with the people. I have never fit in with them for a reason, then I got angry. Under no circumstance should you EVER drink when you are carrying another life inside of you. I guess she thought I am not even showing so it will be ok. THAT IS THE WORST TIME TO DAMAGE YOUR UNBORN CHILD! Anywho being stranded in INDY with drunk people I don't particularly like is not my idea of fun. Then on the way home I got to hear about what losers cops are and how they are "picking" on them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I was grumpy so I thought "Why not engage in a battle of wits with these "fine" people? I like to think I won :0) Seriously though... don't give cop's a reason to "pick" on you and they won't (What an amazing idea)... who knew doing drugs, abusing your children, ya know just breaking the law was not something you are supposed to do. I am not complaining though, PROMISE. There is a silver lining to every dark cloud right? If I ever had an wavering thoughts about the way I live my life in Christ......I am now cemented to his will, his unknown plan, his word. THANK YOU JESUS

Countdown is on....

So MoCash's baby shower is just roughly 36 hours away. The countdown is on! JMe has been totally awesome in helping me make this shower happen. I have learned a few things in this process though...
~People don't get the RSVP thing, that's ok though we planned ahead
~People don't get the registry thing, but hey whatever a gift is a gift (no really all gifts accepted) :0)
~JMe is meticulous just like me, thank you Jesus
~You need a partner in crime so when your backbone is MIA you can use theirs
~2 people planning a shower is fun, 3 is a party, 4 though is just ridiculous
~When it comes to spending a little extra to have something a little better or cutting a few corners to save some cash DON'T BE CHEAP. If you won't shell out the dough don't bother offering to throw a shower.
~When the countdown starts it's crunch time, the best time to get everything done
~Bumps happen, BIG BUMPS, if life gives you a lemon make lemonade or add a twist to your water
~Creativity is fun.... not a chore
~Finding great discounts is exhilarating and rewarding
~You get to spend time with totally awesome people doing really fun things like embossing
~Knowing you are doing something cool for a friend....priceless

We love you Melissa and hope your shower turns out FANTASTIC

Can I get a sign?

So I just have to give a HUGE shout out to my homie Cobi! On Sunday she signed to one of our worship songs and it was AMAZING. She was so very passionate about it. I have seen a lot of people sign at different events but none were ever so.....well, passionate. She brought tears to my eyes. She was not just signing but actually singing with her hands. I loved it and I hope to see it more in the future.

Shopping Extravaganza!

So -V- was so kind and went to Indy with me today to finish shopping for the sweet baby shower JMe and I are throwing MoCash. We hit all the factories: Flower Factory, Cheesecake Factory, Factory Card Outlet, Factory...... well not all of them only the first two, but it was fun. I twittered the whole day. That is another thing I need to do, figure out how to get my twitter updates on my blog.
My VZ Navigator pulled through today (since map quest rarely does) so I decided to name her Betty. That's right folks you too could have your very own Betty (or Wilma) for only $9.99 a month through Verizon Wireless. Sorry, no male voices available.
I got home to find that my lovely husband rearranged our living room and it looks great. He really is wonderful, I am VERY fortunate to have him.
It is now 2:17 A.M. and I HAVE to get to sleep, we have church tomorrow!!!!!!!

Yea! It's the 4th of July

So the 4th of July means good food, good fun, good people, and a fireworks show! It also mean independence from those jerks who try to hold us down!! We are going to the Smiths and lots of fantastic people are going to be there. We will grill some fantastic food, play some Wii and some cornhole, let off some explosives and then head to the big fireworks display in the sky. Oh yeah it's gonna be a good day.

2:09 A.M.

That's right folks it is 2:09 A.M. and I am still up because I just finished catching up on blogs! woohoo
Technically it is the 4th of July so.........Happy 4th everybody.

I have a lot I want to accomplish but have yet to do it: new blog layout, facebook, update my blog roll, twitter, etc... but the most important thing is telling you about my AMAZING husband.

Nathan went to New Orleans on a missions trip with some cool peeps from FFC. What you need to know is that Nathan has a fantastic ability to write songs, really meaningful songs from experiences. At our wedding reception he surprised me by singing a song he wrote about us. He has one song that I am sure could be a radio hit for secular music. Well he did not disappoint with this trip. I am so proud of him, he stepped out of all of his comfort zones to help others and grow in his relationship with God. From what I have heard from some of the other FFC Mission-goers ( I just made that word up :0) he made some really great friends. Well while meeting with complete strangers and getting to witness to them he came up with what I think is my favorite song of his. Please swing over to his blog and read the lyrics.
Nathan blessed our church last Sunday by singing his song in front of the entire congregation. It was simply wonderful, it brought tears to my eyes. Not just because he is my husband, incredibly sexy, great in so many ways, and fabulous at what he does but because the song was beautiful. He sang it while Nate (kates husband) played the guitar and harmonized. It was the Nate and Nate show. I know... it is just toooo cute they should go on the road. But as we have learned from previous posts I am miserable with out my loving husband. *side note... Nathan if you go the road please take me with you*
Anyway I did not get to stay in church for the whole sermon because it was my week to be in KidZone but I did go in late just so I could see Nathan perform his song. I may have a biased opinion because I love him so much but I personally think he was amazing. He really had God with him while he performed, no selfish self-promotion there just a man loving God and wanting to express all the emotions his mission trip created in him.
WAY TO GO NATHAN,you truly are an inspiration to all. I love you so very much and I am well beyond blessed to be able to call you my husband.

It is now 2:47 A.M. I had a fight with my computer and I have won for the moment so I am logging off fellow bloggers

HUM.....

So -V- and I went to McDonalds today for lunch and this woman ordered a quarter pounder with cheese minus the cheese....

Really? I am pretty sure that they have regular quarter pounder's sans cheese. But hey who am I to judge maybe she likes paying the .40 for cheese that she doesn't get.

The best part....... she took it back to the counter because they put cheese on it! LOL It somehow made my day better.

WOOOHOOO

YEAH! Kate finally stepped out of the blog shadows and now has her own blog. You should so check it out!

Criminal Act

What: 1 opened bag-o- Circus Peanuts
When: Tonight, Thursday July 3, 2008
Approximate Time: 9:32 p.m.
Location: Chateau Apartments, Muncie IN
Number of Suspects: 3

Case: On the coffee table in the living room of the apartment, was an opened bag of Circus Peanuts. The family left around 9:00 pm for a night-o-fun, only to return around 10:30 pm to find the opened bag of Circus Peanuts laying haphazardly in the living room floor approximately 11" away from the coffee table. Miscellaneous Circus Peanuts were strewn about the crime scene.

There are 3 suspects in this case.... Miss Mona: Curvy, happy, yet sticks to the shadows
Winnafrid: AKA Winnie, loves to be combed and loathes dirty drinking water
Tootsie Lou: Just goes by Tootsie, is the boss of the group yet appears sweet and innocent weighing in
at 4lbs.

It was clear after analyzing the crime scene that the only way to ensure who the true criminal was, was to initiate the........SNIFF TEST!!! *insert dramatic music here*

The first and only "alleged" criminal to endure the test was indeed.... TOOTSIE!

After she so lovingly rubbed on our legs in a warm affectionate greeting (no doubt to throw us off of her trail) I scooped her up in a gentle embrace, there we were face to face, no where to run. I lulled her into a false sense of security by rubbing her neck. While she was enjoying what she believed was her "get out of jail free" neck rub I went in for the interrogation....... the SNIFF. That was all the evidence needed. You see the ring leader of the pack was indeed the guilty party of the Circus Peanuts destruction. Tootsie keeps her self prim and proper with a looooong bath every single day. On this evening she smelt deliciously of sugary, sweet goodness with just a hint of orange. With further interrogation (sniffing) from my partner Nathan we discovered that not only did she pull them off of the coffee table and spread them about but she also engaged in a "romp" with the Circus Peanuts, for the suspect you see smelt delicious ALL OVER!

Case Closed Toots, hard evidence don't lie!
